(CNN)The actor Art LaFleur — known for his roles in “The Sandlot” and “Discipline of Desires” — has died on the age of 78, his wife mentioned in an announcement.

LaFleur passed away after a decade battling peculiar Parkinson’s disease, his wife Shelley LaFleur mentioned on Facebook on Thursday, highlighting a pair of of the roles he played over the route of his occupation, alongside side Babe Ruth in “The Sandlot,” the Teeth Fairy within the second and third installments of “The Santa Clause” movies, and Chick Gandil in “Discipline of Desires.”
“He used to be a generous and selfless man which carried over to his performing,” Shelley LaFleur wrote, “but more importantly it used to be who he used to be for his family and traffic.”
LaFleur also seemed in a risk of TV sequence over time, alongside side “Charlie’s Angels,” “M*A*S*H,” “House Enchancment,” “Matlock,” “Boy Meets World,” “JAG” and “Malcolm within the Heart,” among many others, his page on IMDb notes.
“I was so very lucky to get had a 43 year relationship with a man who cherished me and who I adored,” Shelley LaFleur mentioned. “Art used to be elevated than existence and supposed the enviornment to us.”
